The failure, (or lack of massive success), in EVERY practice is contained in that tiny list. (There simply isn't anything more to it than that.)

Lack of new clients is inevitably a marketing problem. (But it could be a sales problem.) "Sale per client too small" is typically a combination of poor fact finding, or again, poor sales skills. If insufficient number of sales per client is your issue then you have (at the very least) a client retention/follow up problem, but again, it could be because you simply suck at selling.

If your average client lifetime is too short, then again, you have a follow up problem. Someone's picking off your clients one at a time because you either don't have a great follow up system or (God forbid), you don't care.

Here's a question: How many times did you contact your ENTIRE client base last year?

If the answer wasn't at least 26 then you really don't understand what your clients need from you. Worse, if you haven't talked with them at all "...since I sold them an annuity," you're a sales hack and you need to opt off my list right now. (Then go find a profession that you're better suited to... used car sales would be appropriate.) NOT KIDDING!
